After performing eight string quartets in five rounds over seven days, we are extremely honored (and exhausted...) to announce that we are the 2nd Prize Winners of the 12th Banff International String Quartet Competition! In addition to our overall prize, we won the R.S. Williams & Sons Haydn Prize for the best performance of a Haydn quartet and the Canadian Commission Prize for the best performance of Zosha di Castri's String Quartet No. 1. Our prize also includes a fully funded future residency at the Banff Centre for Arts and Creativity.

The entire competition was streamed live online, and we would like to extend our sincerest gratitude to all of you who tuned in from home to cheer us on and send us your good vibes. For those of you who may not have had the opportunity to watch or missed a round, all of the rounds are archived on the BISQC 2016 YouTube page. You can watch our performance of Beethoven's String Quartet in C sharp minor, Op. 131 from the Finals here, and our Haydn & Bartok from the first round are below.

Our experience at BISQC was unlike any other competition we've attended, and we were totally blown away by the immense and dedicated audience who showed up day in and day out to absorb every second of the performances. We were also very fortunate to receive some glowing reviews in the Calgary Herald, which you can read here and here.

As always, we are deeply grateful for the support and encouragement from family and friends. We're looking forward to sharing more music with you this season.
